El Municipio de Quilmes recuerda que la dosis \u00fanica de la nueva vacuna contra el virus sincicial respiratorio (VSR) para personas embarazadas que est\u00e9n transitando el per\u00edodo entre las semanas 32 y 36 inclusive ya se encuentra aplic\u00e1ndose en los hospitales y centros de salud del distrito de forma gratuita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Este virus es el responsable de un tercio de todas las muertes en menores de 1 a\u00f1o de edad, y se presenta como una bronquiolitis o neumon\u00eda, generalmente en lactantes previamente sanos. Es necesaria la aplicaci\u00f3n durante el embarazo para que haya transmisi\u00f3n de anticuerpos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Para que la vacuna tenga efecto sobre las\/os reci\u00e9n nacidas\/os, se debe aplicar en personas embarazadas entre las semanas 32 y 36 del embarazo inclusive, durante la temporada de circulaci\u00f3n del virus (desde el 1 de marzo al 31 de Julio).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Para su aplicaci\u00f3n no es necesario la orden m\u00e9dica, pero s\u00ed conocer la edad gestacional de la persona embarazada de forma precisa, y puede coadministrarse con cualquiera de las otras vacunas indicadas durante el embarazo (triple bacteriana acelular, antigripal y COVID-19).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
