El Programa Municipal Berazategui Recicla, impulsado por el intendente Juan Jos\u00e9 Mussi, lleva ocho a\u00f1os transformando residuos en recursos, en base a la regla de las 3 R: Reducir, Reciclar y Reutilizar. De esta manera, trabaja d\u00eda a d\u00eda para contribuir a la protecci\u00f3n y conservaci\u00f3n del medio ambiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Esta iniciativa tambi\u00e9n genera ingresos para los recicladores urbanos del distrito, quienes desarrollan sus tareas en los Ecopuntos y Centros de Acopio, Selecci\u00f3n y Reciclado que funcionan en los barrios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reducci\u00f3n: Gracias al trabajo diario de los Ecopuntos y Centros de Acopio, y a la colaboraci\u00f3n de vecinos y vecinas, cada a\u00f1o se logra reducir la cantidad de residuos que se deben llevar al CEAMSE, generando un ahorro en su traslado y tratamiento. Adem\u00e1s, la Municipalidad, en articulaci\u00f3n con el Consejo Escolar y la Jefatura Distrital, impulsa el Programa Escuelas Sustentables, mediante el cual instituciones educativas p\u00fablicas y privadas reciben herramientas y capacitaciones para compostar, desarrollando h\u00e1bitos sustentables f\u00e1cilmente replicables en los hogares, fundamentales para disminuir la generaci\u00f3n de residuos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reciclaje: Desde 2016 hasta la actualidad ya se reciclaron y reutilizaron m\u00e1s de 6.400.000 kilogramos de materiales: botellas PET, papel, cart\u00f3n, vidrios; pilas y bater\u00edas; pl\u00e1stico soplado; nylon; aluminio; hierros y chapas; adem\u00e1s de chatarra electr\u00f3nica y aceite vegetal usado (AVU). Asimismo, a trav\u00e9s del trabajo coordinado de la Secretar\u00eda de Organizaciones No Gubernamentales (ONG) y la Direcci\u00f3n de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la Municipalidad, se lleva adelante un proyecto de compostaje de desechos org\u00e1nicos que toma cada vez m\u00e1s fuerza en el distrito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reutilizaci\u00f3n: Gran cantidad de los materiales recolectados son reutilizados por diferentes empresas locales que los compran (beneficiando a los recicladores en una econom\u00eda circular) para la fabricaci\u00f3n de distintos productos, como escobillones y cepillos; papel higi\u00e9nico; servilletas y cart\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El concepto de la regla de las 3R apunta a cambiar los h\u00e1bitos, para que sean responsables y sostenibles.
